Satoshi Kon Creator Reflection

I didn't really enjoy this project as much as the patron saint one. I thought it was a fascinating opportunity to really delve into one of my favorite creator's works, but honestly having to tie his every move back to the book felt so limiting and rigid. And this is in spite of Leski's already pretty vague language. There were "aha" moments when I could see Leski's storm, just with little quirks in Kon's drawing process, yet the codification of his every action to a vague quote felt way too forced. I wanted to have more fun with this project and really explore his themes and magical worlds, but I felt as though, especially with the rubric's wording, that obligatory "THESIS" held too much power, made the research tedious. I understand of course relating our creator somehow to the book we purchased for class, but maybe that should have been a side-objective or a parallel one rather than THE MAIN THESIS YOU MUST PROVE YOUR THESIS. Bleh. Loved going through his work and made me miss him a lot more. He was so humble and talented. aaaa
